What about my state tax return? |

At this point in time, most states participate in the "Federal/State e-File" program. Federal/State e-File transmits both your federal and state returns to the IRS. The IRS then functions as an electronic post office for the participating state (or states), which receives and processes your state electronic return. If you choose to e-File your federal return and your state does not participate in Federal/State e-File, or has other requirements you must meet, we will inform you when we send you IRS E-File Signature Authorization Form 8879.
